Hell yeah.
My teenage years in the 80s were a similar story. Also add to the mix King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Greatful Dead—and others…

Black Sabbath - “War Pigs” (71)
This is old Ozzy. I went through a period in my teens in the 80’s where I listened to 70’s music almost exclusively. Black Sabbath, Foghat, Steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult, The Who, The Doors, British Lions, Alice Cooper. So this was part of my 80’s music experience.
It is hard to imagine quasi emo kids who are into Owl City listening to Cobain, Blink 182, Red Hot Chill Peppers, Soundgarden, No Doubt, Bush, Oasis, and Smashing Pumpkins.
Presumptuous of me, or just where my awarness fades, but I am sure it is even more available with today’s technology.
