Janine Antoni is a Bahamian artist, and I was going to tell you about her but I’m too busy watching School of Rock so I will just say that this video is deeply soothing to watch, which is not what you might expect from a video about tightrope walking, and also her works are particularly fascinating from a feminist perspective. Lots of information here.
She is interesting. I love this piece but I’ve always felt slightly strange about her. The whole ‘what do you say about those who left’ conversation is tiresome but I always end up in it.
